We ate at a small restaurant with an essentially German menu. The location was great and stunning - within a walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go.

The units were well furnished in the interesting garden. The location is nice, a 10-15 minute walking distance from a roadside statue. It's in a pretty building in the calm area.

The Icebear Guesthouse in Negombo surpassed our expectations! The attention to detail, friendly staff, and beautiful garden were all standout features. The rooms were tastefully decorated and the food in the restaurant was delicious. We truly felt welcomed and pampered during our stay.

The hotel provided excellent service, with thoughtful and friendly staff who were always ready to assist. The location was ideal, just a short walk away from the sparkling ocean and easy access to explore by bike. Additionally, the ambiance was relaxing and tranquil, creating a perfect environment to rest for the night.

The food was not very diverse, and the prices were higher than we expected. We found it difficult to find local dishes on the menu. Moreover, we could hear some noise from the surroundings that partly disrupted our sleep.

Although the beach and fish market may not be pristine, they still offered a glimpse into the local culture. we highly recommend staying here for a few nights to start your Sri Lanka trip off right!

The hotel facilities were top-notch, from the beautiful garden setting to the beachfront view, which was perfect for watching sunsets. I stayed at Icebear Guesthouse for two nights during my trip to Sri Lanka. The manager, Christian, and the staff went above and beyond to take care of me when I was unwell, making sure I had everything I needed. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, with a lovely view of the courtyard filled with local plants and crafts. The breakfast at Ice Bear was one of the best I had during my trip. The hotel's garden was a paradise, with interesting features like a blue whale skull. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, beautiful surroundings, and delicious food.
